This is the page for my Grandmother's "Famous Date Bars"
    as you can see, the recipe also includes where she crossed out some ingredients, and did her" figuring for multiple batches
                                                        In her time, you didn't waste ANYTHING! 
         It was common for her to use our school work pages after they were graded, and write a recipe on the back of that.
                                                     On some of her recipes, she would write things like
                  "tastes OK, but not something I would make often, next time try it with ginger instead of nutmeg"
                                                                or "Grandpa doesn't like, but I do!

                                  Although she's been gone for many years... we still have a part of her here!
The recipe is written in her own handwriting, so generations yet to come will know their "Great Great" Grandmother & Grandfather,
                                a picture of them was included on the page, along with a little history about them!
Although the scanned in page doesn't look as good as the real page.
  you get the idea of how our recipe book has been put together!
