DMC Cotton Variegated Floss: rows 20 & 21 To create my designs, I work with 4 different Cross Stitch programs, each one has a particular feature that the others don't. They also have different codes for the same color. Wanting to fix this problem, I contacted DMC. Since DMC can't or won't give out information regarding RGB values, I purchased the new DMC color card and created this grid... an exact computer match is almost impossible, (can't create the shine) this is the closest I can come to the samples. This grid is useful to the stitcher either in creating designs, or wanting to change colors since this grid in laid out in "color family groups."
To my members, although I have changed my PC7 program to correspond to this grid, your PC Viewer will still have the color codes it came with.....sorry! I don't know if the PC Viewer will allow changes to the colors or not, but if it does, and you want to take the time to change them, use this grid.

For those who would like a single file document, here is one in PDF format
The Word document has been set up as a single continuous table to allow the user to sort their document as they prefer (i.e. by skein color number ~ Alphabetical description ~ or by color family row as displayed in DMC's sample skeins booklet). And this will allow the user to add new colors when they come out or delete old colors when they are discontinued.

I have had many requests lately for other DMC conversions. On DMC's site ( www.dmc-usa.com ), they have a PDF document that lists several of their threads and their match to the DMC 117 Cotton Floss colors.
Here is a zipped copy of that document. This is a 9 page document that might be of help to those who want other conversions.
